Motorola Moto G6 Series and Moto E5 Series With 18:9 Display Announced

Motorola finally launched the much-rumoured Moto G6 and the Moto E5 series at an event in Brazil recently.While the Moto G6, the G6 Plus, the G6 Play, the E5, and the E5 Plus have the Max Vision display with 18:9 aspect ratio as their highlight, the Moto E5 Play comes with the usual 16:9 aspect ratio.

Moto G6 series:

Moto G6: The smartphone comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD Max Vision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. With 3D glass back, the device comes in two RAM/ROM options: 3GB RAM/32GB ROM and 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. The camera department has dual cameras (rated at 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel) at the back while the front camera stands at 8-megapixel. The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo. Additionally, there is fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.



Moto G6 Plus: The G6 Plus has a 5.9-inch Full HD display with an aspect ratio rated at 18:9, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The camera department is the same as the Moto G6, along with an increased 3,200mAh battery and Android 8.0 Oreo. The home button in the smartphone too doubles as a fingerprint scanner.


Moto G6 Play: The last member of the G6 series sports a 5.7-inch HD display with the same aspect ratio as the G6 and the G6 Plus and is powered by Snapdragon 427 SoC. There are two RAM/ ROM variants: 2GB RAM/16GB ROM and 3GB RAM/32GB ROM, 13-megapixel primary snapper and a 5-megapixel front camera. The device is backed by a huge 4,000mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo. Furthermore, there is a front-facing fingerprint scanner.


The Motorola Moto G6, the Moto G6 Plus and the Moto G6 Play start at $249, $299 and $199, respectively. The smartphones are available in Brazil and will eventually reach out to other markets.


Moto E5 series:

Moto E5:The first in the E5 family is the Moto E5 coming with a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM, a 4,000mAh battery, 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter, and runs Android 8.0 Oreo.


Moto E5 Plus: The device features a 6-inch HD+ display with the same aspect ratio as the aforementioned devices and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset. It comes with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 5,000mAh battery and Android 8.0 Oreo. Camera-wise, there is a 12-megapixel rear snapper and an 8-megapixel front shooter.


Moto E5 Play: The low-end smartphone sports a 5.2-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front snapper, a 2,800mAh battery, a fingerprint
scanner, and runs Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Motorola Moto E5 and the Moto E5 Plus start at Euros 149 and Euros 169, respectively. However, there is no pricing detail for the Moto E5 Play available.
